Northwest Resources is an Alcohol and Drug Outpatient Treatment Center, in Des Moines, Washington. serving Seattle to the north and Tacoma to the south. We are conveniently located in South King County, midway between both cities, just off of Interstate 5. We also provide Alcohol and Drug Information School, DUI Victims Panels, Alcohol and Drug Assessments and Alcohol and Drug Inpatient Referral Services. We also offer programs satisfying Department of Licensing requirements.

We are now open on Fridays for assessments and individual counseling sessions.

Additionally, we are also able to offer evening assessments.


We are also offering a Victims Impact Panel on the second Saturday of every month from 8:30 AM until 10:00 AM, with Alcohol and Drug Information School following from 10:00 AM until 6:00 PM.

We use comprehensive treatment approaches that are evidence based to produce results: MRT (Moral Reconation Therapy), Interactive Journaling, 12-Step Group sessions, Individual sessions, and Family sessions.

The type of counseling provided by all staff is substance use disorder counseling in the areas of assessment, intervention, treatment planning, family support, aftercare and re-entry.

The methods and techniques the counselors use include individual and group counseling, education in substance use disorder and recovery, family supportive counseling, aftercare and discharge planning.
